About the event

The Empire Weekend in New York City is to bring steppers together to dance duiring friday and saturday evening and tour the city during the day, including steppinng at the statue of Liberty and touring Times Square and Harlem. There is also a stepping workshop for all levels during the weekend.

Why should you sponsor?

This is a good event to sponsor because the guests are a captive audience for your product or service for the entire weekend. The written an online schedule of activities will have your logo on it so they will see it througout tthe weekend. as well as on the printed flyer.

I have been stepping snnce 2008. I planned events and taught classes for the New York Steppers from 2008 - 2013. I then founded the Empire Steppers in 2014, where I continue to plan stepping events and teach classes.

My first Empire weekend was last year with about 50 people, mostly local and some people from out of town. This year 150 people participated and half of them were from out of town. I expect about 250 people to come out for the 3rd annual weekend in August of 2019.

I currenetly work full-time in the marketing department of a large hospital and physician organization in NYC, where I market and plan events for our physicians - including book signings, patiennt seminars and continuing education courses.
