About the event

We started Beast of the East Baseball with a passion to  promote the game of baseball and give amateur players a platform to showcase their talents by providing  venues in front of college, universities and MLB organizations. We understand that exposure is a key component to receiving a scholarship or a pro contract. Other components are accessibility and affordability. We  will host top notch events locally and nationally designed to help players get more exposure with affordability in mind.

Beast of the East Baseball's vision is to create opportunities for amateur players to be seen and to continue to pursue their dream of playing at the next level. Improving their efforts and  dream of having a higher education, playing in college and improving their overall quality of life.

Our vision is to get as many players as possible a scholarship or playing higher baseball.

Our goal:

• Educate and assist players, parents and fans of the game
• Host Showcases and events at quality venues and/or facilities
• Help ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to be seen evaluated and educated on their skills and areas of improvement.
• Elevate and give exposure to talent and skills
• Promote baseball everywhere
• Get a higher education
• Play at the next level 
• Make more accessible
• Work with University and college coaches as well as MLB organizations

Our showcases and events look to evaluate and educate all players who have a desire to play.

Why should you sponsor?

We at Beast of the East Baseball have a mission to promote baseball, make it more affordable for players families and make it fun again. 

Our goal is to educate players on the recruiting process and get them maximum expose that is affordable and providing a top notch event that attracts college coaches and MLB organizations. 

Our goal is to help players develop their skills on the field through evaluation and a plan for improvement. But also off the field with our life skills classes. Higher education and quality of life through sports.

Beast of the East Baseball is a family in every sense of the word. Once players are committed to us they will be looked after like family. 

When my kids went through the recruiting and showcase process it was amazing how much money it cost to be seen. Miles and miles traveled, time and money. Travel ball expenses can be a great. So we created thiis showcase and event with that in mind.

Lowering cost and gaining more exposure for amateurs to recieve scholarships.

Derrick May

Having grown up in baseball and playing professional baseball for 18yrs. I became a Major League Player for parts of 10 seasons and  after became a Major League/Minor League Hitting Coordinator/coach for 13yrs. My  knowledge of the game has been molded through experiences and conversation with many great people in the game for over 30 years.

”What I tell players I coach: I will give you respect until you give me a reason not too. I will treat you like a man I will not yell at you I will be here for you. So please be here for me.“

On the way I look at things.” I believe that people and players are individuals. I am a person who is an optimist but also a realist. I am open minded but with direction and believes in continual learning in life.“

On experience, “I believe experience is the best teacher of knowledge and in the each one teach one philosophy.”
