This event will raise money for Reborn, a non-profit dedicated to helping people with suicidal thoughts find the help and support they need. In addition to raising funds the concert will serve as a platform for the organizaiton and its mission, and will bring people together through classical music. Our program features music by Beethoven, Mahler, and Tchaikovsky--three great composers whose lives were tragically affected by suicide or thoughts of suicide.
This event is a great way for a company to engage in CSR and help support a cause which addresses an issue which is widespread but doesn't get nearly as much attention as it needs. Sponsors can expect to get exposure to a coveted demographic: classical music ticket buyers, who tend to be older, well educated, wealthy, and socially engaged.
I'm the founder and director of Orchestra Amadeus. I've been a classical musician for 25 years and founded this project as a way to use classical music to bring people together and promote social justice. I've organized nearly a dozen large-scale concerts, often with little time to plan and a modest budget.
