Career Speed Networking Mixer,

Seattle, Washington, United States Seattle, Washington, United States

  • About the event

Career Speed Networking is a high-energy, curated networking experience designed to connect University of Washington students with professionals across marketing, consulting, technology, finance, and strategy.

In a fast-paced, rotating format, students engage in a series of short, focused conversations with industry professionals to learn about career paths, ask questions, and build meaningful connections — all in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

This event is hosted by the DECA Chapter @ the University of Washington, part of DECA Inc., a nationally recognized nonprofit organization with over 260,000 student members across all 50 U.S. states and several international chapters. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs through competitive events, leadership development, and real-world business experiences.

As the collegiate chapter at UW, our mission is to bring that national ecosystem to campus by creating opportunities for students to develop professional skills, connect with industry, and gain exposure to careers they’re excited about.

Career Speed Networking is one of the ways we bring this mission to life, by creating a space where motivated students and generous professionals can come together for an evening of learning, connection, and opportunity.

    Why should you sponsor?

Supporting Career Speed Networking is an opportunity to connect directly with motivated, career-driven students from the University of Washington — primarily those studying at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, one of the nation’s top undergraduate business programs.

Your support helps make professional development accessible by funding event costs, materials, and future competition travel, while also giving your organization meaningful visibility within a highly targeted audience of students interested in business, technology, consulting, finance, and leadership.

Unlike large career fairs, this event is designed for genuine conversation and relationship-building. Sponsors are not simply placing a logo, they are investing in mentorship, access, and early exposure for high-potential students who are actively preparing for careers in industry.

By supporting this event, you are helping bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world while positioning your brand as one that values education, invests in future talent, and supports student opportunity.

    Saanvi Nanda

We are the DECA Chapter @ the University of Washington, an officially recognized collegiate chapter of DECA Inc., a nonprofit organization that supports students around the world in building leadership, business, and entrepreneurial skills through real-world experience.

At UW, our chapter is run entirely by students from the Michael G. Foster School of Business who genuinely care about creating meaningful opportunities for our peers. We are building this organization from the ground up with a lot of intention, from how we design our events, to how we communicate with partners, to how we represent the DECA name on campus.

We know that when an organization supports a student group, they are placing trust in us, and we take that seriously. We are thoughtful about who we partner with, transparent about how support is used, and committed to following through on what we promise.

You can trust us to treat your brand with respect, communicate clearly and professionally, and use your support to create real value for students.
