The St. David's Society of Pittsburgh hosts the Daffodil Luncheon annually around March 1, St. David's Day, as a formal celebration of our Welsh heritage.
Past luncheons have featured traditional Welsh music such as harpists and group singing, Welsh folktales and performances, and special guest speakers, including the former representative to North America from Welsh Government's Office of the First Minister.
Our membership forms a close-knit, active community which is very passionate about our cultural heritage. Your sponsorship will reach not only 50-75 attendees at the Luncheon, but will also be included in our social media and full-membership reach of over 150 individuals local to the Greater Pittsburgh area.
I am the Vice-President of the St. David's Society of Pittsburgh. Since beginning my term in January 2018, I have initiated several significant "visibility" projects with the Society, including bringing the Luncheon back into the Oakland area, spearheading the development of a Sister City between Pittsburgh and a town in Wales, and exploring a partnership event for Welsh whiskey distribution in Pennsylvania.
By day, I work in development for a local legal foundation which provides funds for pro bono work, law student assistance, access to justice, and anti-hunger initiatives.
