    Drinkfest 2018 is a liquor tasting and party that attracts the tequila, rum, vodka, scotch and whisky enthusiast! This event provides the opportunity for the novice to the connoisseur to taste and explore some of their most favorite liquors.

    Drinkfest is hosted by the Phoenix Association, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support to local communities and programs throughout the world. It also is the 501c3 of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Iota Phi Sigma Chapter. As an organization founded by college-educated men, locally we continue the tradition by ensuring the next generation of children can afford to attend college. In 2017, Iota Phi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma celebrated its 30th year anniversary in servicing the community through programs and scholarships.

    General admission includes 10 tickets and gives you access to the various liquor serving areas so you can taste your favorite liquor or mixed drinks featuring your favorite liquor.  If you desire to enjoy one of the drinks you sampled,  a bartender will be at your service! Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with hundreds of Chicagoland professionals.

    DrinkFest 2018 will provide organizations an opportunity to gain intelligence, expand product and brand awareness, and build relationships with over 500 Chicagoland professionals during the event.  Through digital marketing efforts, the organization will also be able to engage 10,000 active social media subscibers.

    Accomplishments:

    The Phoenix Association has had many accomplishments since the implementation of programming. The most recent 2017 accomplishments include:

    • A partnership with Corliss High School and STEM program
    • A partnership with March of Dime supporting the “March For Babies” initiative, which works to prevent premature births and build strong fathers and male role models in the African American community.
    • The Good Samaritan Project
    • The Free Tax Assistance initiative, which offers tax preparation assistance for low-income tax payers through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. The initiative also assisted with staffing, computer hardware, and tax education.
    • 3 Scholarships to High School Seniors attending: (University of Illinois) (Ohio State University) (Alabama A&M)
