About the event

The fashion show, Echoes of the City, is built around the gritty, fast-moving, multicultural identity of Rotterdam. The show explores the echoes of the city, through industrial structures and visual languages that live in the city’s neighbourhoods, but also the echoes of each designer's stories, memories and experiences through their collections.

We are curating a lineup of designers whose work connects to contemporary urban culture, bold silhouettes, experimental materials, and the unapologetic vibrancy of city life.

We are expecting 400 guest to attend the show, that consist of students, fashion industry professionals as well as media and press. 

Why should you sponsor?

Our fashion shows are an ideal opportunity to promote your company or cause. Our guests consist of a diverse group of students, ranging from fashion design and business to management and finance. Besides students the attendees will also be fashion industry professionals as well as media and press.

By sponsoring this event, your company, name or cause will gain a lot of visibility at the actual event itself as well as before the event through social media promotion.

Besides the fashion show we are also organizing a fashion internship fair, where companies come to the Erasmus University Campus to present their company and students can apply for internships to the company. This gives you visibility with the future work force as well as possible interns. By sponsoring the fashion show, you can secure as spot as a company at the fashion internship fair. 

The most important reason why you should sponsor this event is the cultural significance the fashion show has for Rotterdam. The theme and name of the fashion show, reflect the vibrancy and grittiness of Rotterdam. We truly believe that this fashion show will be significant for the cultural and fashion scene in Rotterdam that gains as much traction as possible nationally but also internationally. Jakob Sajantila

My name is Jakob Sajantila and I manage the event production team that is in charge of organising this fashion show. 

I am a 24-year-old psychology student from Finland, who has a passion for fashion as well as event production. I manage a team of 15 people, where everyone works daily towards this show. Although we all do this voluntarily, not a day goes by that we dont talk about the execution of the show. 

I have learned how to lead a team during my time in the military and I am grateful that I have the chance to lead a team now, specifically in my field of interest, fashion production. My whole team is respectful and trustworthy and we hold each other accountable for every action.
