About the event

Inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name, this raucous musical comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex and violence.

You won't be able to resist the spoofy fun of Reefer Madness. The addictive, clever musical numbers range from big Broadway-style showstoppers to swing tunes like "Down at the Ol' Five and Dime" and the Vegas-style "Listen to
Jesus, Jimmy," featuring J.C. Himself leading a chorus of showgirl angels. Refeer Madness is a highly stylized and satirical political commentary that will leave you wanting more.

Why should you sponsor?

Greetings from E.M.F. Productions! We hope this letter finds your business well. E.M.F. Productions has been around since 2007. We produce high quality theatrical productions 2-4 times per year. As a non-profit organization, we require sponsors for our shows.

Last season we were privileged to have some of the largest audiences in our history. We anticipate an average attendance of 200 people/performance for this show. This production will feature a cast of approximately 15. As the sponsor, your company’s name and logo will be included in all our promotional efforts (website, posters, post cards, show programs, print and online advertisements, press releases, and more. Typically, the cost to sponsor a production like this would be $3000 for a full sponsorship and $1700 for a partial sponsorship. Evan Fifer

I have a degree in Theatre Production from SIUE and a Masters in Business Administration. I have directed more than 30 theatrical productions in the metro St. Louis area and have worked with various community theatres to increase profits and create quality live productions. I am proud to say that my experience has led me to find success on stage and behind the scenes. 

I am passionate about the arts, and I am committed to creating opportunities for performers, volunteers, tech workers, set constructors, painters and others to create and enjoy quality theatre experiences.

I understand the importance of working with a diverse team of people, and I have the skills and experience necessary to collaborate with others to create successful projects. I am also familiar with budgeting and fundraising, and I am confident in my ability to produce successful shows.
