Film Invasion Lima (FILIMA) is a sister festival to the successful Film Invasion Los Angleles and Sherman Oaks Film Festival, both of which have over 10 years of experience in the independent film industry in Los Angeles, California, and hold a " Gold Category" rating on the renowned global festival website FilmFreeway. Thanks to the prestige of these events, FILIMA has also achieved the same Gold Category rating, allowing us to attract award - winning films for screening at Film Invasion Lima. There will be opportunities to showcase your brand to an international audience.

Independent filmmaking in Peru is gaining momentum. As the country’s film industry grows, indie filmmakers face challenges in gaining visibility and resources. San Ryu Passport Peru, an indie film production company based in Lima, is working to change that. Their annual event, Film Invasion Lima, offers a platform for local filmmakers to showcase their work, connect with peers, and build projects that can compete on a global scale.

Peru’s film industry has seen steady growth over the past decade. More filmmakers are telling stories rooted in Peruvian culture, history, and contemporary life. This surge reflects a broader interest in diverse voices and unique perspectives from Latin America. Yet, despite this progress, many indie filmmakers struggle to find opportunities to present their films to wider audiences or secure funding for larger projects.
