Ghana Education Awards (GeA) 2021/22

The Ghana Education Awards is meant to acknowledge and award top students and the INTRODUCTION admirable contributions and pioneering initiatives taken by individuals, teachers, principals,
preschools, schools, higher educational institutions, and other educational support
organizations and activities.

In collaboration with major state-owned educational agencies under the auspices of the Ministry of education, Ghana, we spear head this initiative to recognize and appreciate the real doers of the sector and motivate them in their effort to do more in support of the industry amidst the pandemic - the new-normal’ and beyond.

The maiden edition of the award’s scheme is themed, „Appreciating Educational Excellence in the New-Normal’, to place emphasis on the relentless efforts being made by the ministry, its agencies and stakeholders in managing the industry prior, during and post the 2020/21/22 corona virus pandemic.

The scheme is scheduled to be officially launched on 27th July. 2022. at the GNAT Hall (Accra) followed by the grand maiden gala on 21st Sept. 2022. This red carpet hybrid events will host top executives, students, teachers/educationists, pioneers, dignitaries, diplomats, educational icons and the news media.

The Ghana Education Awards 2021/22 is dedicated to the support of the Education Ministry’s Recognition Scheme initiative and the memory and labor of some three great forbearers (amongst others) who gave their lives to put Ghana among the league of respected nations in education.

I am a volunteer with MicroMentor, who has chosen to come alongside the GeA as part of the international support system. As an educator in the United States, Costa Rica, Mexico and Japan for over 20 years, the founders of the GeA have asked me to help their cause with fundraising and outreach to the United States. My goal is to partner with the GeA and improve the quality and recognition of education in the country of Ghana.
