About the event
John S. Hobart Elememtarry PTO have partnered up with the William FLoyd Middle School PTO to bring the Harlem Wizards to our district to host a fundraising event. During this event the Harlem Wizards will be playing agaisnt teachers, staff members and local public officials to provide a fun night of entertainment to help raise money for both schools.
Why should you sponsor?
We would love your sponsoship support becasue both of the schools involved are receiveing Title I benefits. Over 75% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. We love to provide fun famaily style fundraising events. We feel that by providing events like this we are more likely to raise more funds and at the same time providing a night of fun for the families of our community. Funds raised at this event will go toward purchasing more Chromebooks for our school as well as continue to enhance the education of our students. We provide funds to offset the costs of educational materials that are not otherwise included within the school budgets.
Barbara MehmelI am the President of the John S Hobart Parent Teacher Organization. I have been on the board for over 8 years and have been the president for the last 3 of those years. In the years since I have taken over as president I have done away with catalog fundraisers and have put togeher several successful family fundraising events. Events that the kids enjoy being involved in and parents love to support. We raised over $35,000 last year putting together our own Fun Run Event! With a portion of that we were able to provide the school with 48 brand new Chromebooks and programs to enhanve their education. I have only a few more years left in the school and have made a plan on the things I wish to accomplish before I leave the school and by reaching out for sponsorships for our events I feel it is less money we have to pay out of pocket to put on these events that the families love, making it more money in the end that we have to purchase the things the students need.

This package will get your logo printed on our flyers and event tickets. Tickets are live online and printed which will give extra exposure. Flyers will be sent home to over 2000 students and with over 500 staff members, as well as posted on several social media sites. We will also print your logo as well as any wording you'd like on our event hand-out which will be given to all attendees the night of the event. Special shout-outs from announcers will be made during the event thanking and acknowledging our sponsors. In addition will will hang any printed materials you wish to send such as posters or banners throughout the event venue.
