About the event

Join us on the beautiful (and haunted) North Shore of Lake Tahoe! We will be hosting a full weekend of interactive paranormal & metaphysical workshops (ghosts, ufos, cryptids, sound therapy, mediumship, dowsing & more) vendors, (dark market, wiccan, holistic, macabre, halloween) and a full scale paranormal investigation of this historic hotel, once owned by the mafia. We will start with a Murder Mystery meet and greet on Friday night! Partial Proceeds will go to support The Comstock Foundation for History and Culture & local historical societies.

We will be featuring a paranormal investigation of a very haunted hotel, The Tahoe Biltmore Resort & Casino! Think Rat Pack. Think Mafia. Think Hidden Tunnels, Secrets, Lies, Scandal, Murder... Take a step back into the late 1950's and experience what was once the stomping grounds of Hollywood's elite. You know how dirty Hollywood can be. Fame is a toxic elixir, driving the living to crave the high of Hollywood, and it's playground on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Crystal Bay.

You can expect to experience the following:

1. A Murder Mystery in true Laughing DevEl form. Friday night is the night to party, and the theme? Well the theme is the Living Dead Gangsters and Dolls from the late 1950's. Imagine if the dead rose up from that beautiful Crystal Lake, if it only rose a few degrees in temperature. Just who would make the scene that night? It's up to you. Get creative. We sure as hell will!
2. Haunted Museum - Imagine the energy you can feel by seeing and touching haunted items. Scary Dolls, check. Embalming tools, check. A real coffin straight out of an insane asylum? Check.
3. Vendors from far and wide. We have oddities, we have crafts, we have people who create the most macabre items - a dark market to feed your dark soul.
4. Workshops! Workshops taught by real historians, paranormal investigators, mediums, and more. Hands on - learn the real thing from the people who live the paranormal, 24/7.

The Finale - AN OVERNIGHT INVESTIGATION of the Hotel. Multiple rooms, including the Chapel - we have room to spread out, and believe me, we will be hunting hard! NNGH is one of the best investigative teams around, and they will lead the event with help from North Bay RIP.

A large portion of the event will fund The Comstock Foundation for History and Culture in their quest to save buildings and history in the Northern Nevada area. Places like Virginia City, NV have been brought back to life due to their fundraising efforts, and paranormal events are a large part of that. Several times a year, the Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters host paranormal investigations for donations towards the CFHC. They also go out to sites and do physical cleanup. They donate all the proceeds to CHFC, or to other local historical societies. Without teams like NNGH and The Comstock Foundation, places like Virginia City would crumble and die.

Now a little about Devin and Ellen from Laughing Devel.  They own and operate 3 successful interactive ghost tours in three cities, including Napa, Sonoma, and Vacaville, CA.  They have also appeared on a few TV shows for Travel Channel, Destination America, Animal Planet… They also recently appeared in a documentary on ghosts in wine country.  They are most known, for the events they throw. The events are called ParaRetreats.  The events are fully interactive. Instead of the boring meet and greet where everyone sits in their cliques and doesn’t talk to anyone, they do a murder mystery. They are entirely humor based; they use comedy in almost everything they do. It raises the vibration for paranormal activity, and it makes people have fun. The murder mysteries they have done are now expected and now a huge part of why their events sell out.
