"It Starts At Home" Community Event,

About the event

“It Starts at Home” Community Event is about encouraging and empowering young people to make a difference in the world by showcasing different activities that can inspire them  and keynote speakers who can relate to them. Another aspect of the event is to have the event supervised by mature adults, yet hosted and managed by young people. This action can construct a better connection with the young people to find empowerment within each other and also give those that are managing and hosting community service hours.

Why should you sponsor?

Any opportunity to empower and encourage the youth of today, is an opportunity not to take likely. Sponsors should sponsor this event to plant something into the lives of the youth of today. The youth will be able to say that the sponsor who gave, along with the committee, helped plant the seed inside of them which bloodied into a world changing agent. Sponsoring this event is a chance to pour into not only the United States, but also the world. 

Antrez Miller

I am Antrez Miller of Valdosta, GA. I am a junior student at Valdosta Early College Academy in Valdosta, GA. I know I am young and I don't know much, but I can honestly say that the world we live in is a very interesting one. The United States will soon through a change, and my generation, the new generation, will be the next leaders if this world. Yet, in order for us to be able to change this world for the better, we must be trained in our own communities. I have always been an advocate for empowering and encouraging the youth, such as myself, to achieve their dreams and to change the world. So, I am in the process of constructing a community event that is called "It Starts At Home". I have chosen this name because before we can change the world around us we must change the community around us, which in return gives us life lessons that we will use in this world.
