Jeffs Road to Recovery,

  • About the event

    The Game Changer

November 8, 2020 Rob & Nicole received a heart wrenching phone call late that evening.  One of their closest friends Jeff, had suffered a severe medical emergency.  It didn’t take long for them to realize; this wasn’t going to be a few sick days out of work.  This was much more serious than that.  A man who tirelessly worked 2 jobs, to financially support himself and provide for his 2 daughters, was now facing a lengthy recovery process.

Within a few days, a GoFundMe campaign was created to assist in his financial needs during and after his recovery.  Nicole & Rob wanted to do more for him!

Rob, Nicole and a small group of close friends were discussing various ideas to assist in raising funds to provide the help their friend desperately needed.  They joked and self-titled themselves “Jeff’s Army.”   That had caused Nicole to think actively about various ways for them to raise money.  That same evening, Nicole realized, the pile of shirts, cups, bags etc. that had been sitting in her office could be sold to help Jeff!   Nicole quickly got to work, creating a Facebook group where friends and family of Jeff’s could have a place to laugh, share stories and updates on Jeff’s recovery.   The following day, a website was created and launched.  Just a basic e-com site to purchase Army merch with all proceeds benefiting Jeff’s Road to Recovery.  Every day Nicole brainstormed additional ideas, added additions to the website and began working on products.

Nicole & Rob’s commitment to Jeff and the values of their friendship was and always will be genuine – That in itself is what pushed Nicole to finally get past the hesitation she always had and move forward with determination to do what was needed to ensure Jeff’s future would be what he has always deserved.

It's not just jargon or words, but a way of doing business that defines who we are.

    The Curve Ball

2020 threw most of us for a loop.  With the world trying to figure out this new norm during the height of COVID-19.   We were struggling for additional ways to raise money for Jeff’s Road to Recovery.   Just as quickly we began to consider an outdoor fundraising event.  It just as quickly crumbled.  New COVID outdoor gathering restrictions wouldn’t allow us to organize an event that would generate enough proceeds for Jeff’s fundraiser.

Since everyone has had to adjust to a socially distant lifestyle.  Online classes, meetings, shopping etc.   The thought of an online fundraising event became the best possibility.  A virtual meeting type of event, including a 50/50 raffle, tricky tray auctions etc.

    Why should you sponsor?

Why chose Jeff’s Army? Our commitment to helping others is carried down to our customers. We’re not about just ordering custom products; it’s the support for each other that gives a sense of belonging and connection.

Jeff’s Army enables individuals as well as businesses to design and order custom merch for themselves, their clubs, companies, charities, family reunions, and more.

Sponsoring an event as ours is a way to show that your business supports our same mission which provides added benefit to your customers that small causes are just as important as large campaigns.

    The Line-up

The Jeff’s Army story began in 2018 when Nicole,  a stay-at-home mom of 2 toddler started making her own cheese at home. Itching to do something entrepreneurial and meaningful.  She and her husband Rob decided to finally take the leap and look for a new home that would include the potential to fulfill both of their life long dreams – Owning their own farm!

October 2018 The Big House was established.  Rob & Nicole purchased their home that on 17 acres of property.  The home was old and the land was overgrown.  They knew it would take some work to begin the farm they dreamed.

Meanwhile, Nicole thought of various ways to bring additional income in, to allow the family to continue to build their farm.  The idea of custom designed products came into mind.  She did her research, purchased equipment and products and started brainstorming additional ideas.  The courage to officially launch the business was the biggest obstacle.  Products and supplies piled up in the home office
