About the event

The Women’s Centre of Halton is a registered non-profit charitable, community-based organization that is dedicated to enriching the lives of women through its programs, support and information services. Women seek our services for a number of reasons, whether they are experiencing violence in their relationships, difficult separations or need help seeking employment, among others. We provide confidential counseling, support women in domestic or abusive situations, offer group sessions to help them get back into the community and assist in connecting women with the proper resources to facilitate family experience crises or distress resolution. We empower women to be their best selves by offering support in a non judgemental manner by providing a safe and compassionate place to receive backing and even make new friends.

On February 9, 2019, we will be hosting our third annual ‘Love Does Gala’ – a Valentine’s Day themed dinner/dance.  The event, which is expected to accommodate approximately 250 people, aims to raise awareness and helps generate much needed funds for the Centre, enabling us to continue providing amazing programs and the ability to add new ones.

For over 30 years we have been dependant on the kindness of others through donations to provide our services. Last year alone over 3000 contacts were made by women in our community – and this number continues to increase.
In order to continue providing these vital services we rely heavily on the support of generous community members like yourself.
