  • About the event

Rattler Racing produces multiple cycling events in the Denver, Colorado area. Our premier event is called Mad Gravel, a 3-day cycling event about 45 minutes southeast of Denver. Mad Gravel will be made up of a circuit race on Saturday, the main event "Mad Gravel" on Sunday, and a mountain bike race on Monday. Camping is available in the area and there are many family activities. Our goal is to continue to grow this cycling festival over the several years and work to expand our vendor and expo area.

    Why should you sponsor?

With gravel cycling exploding in popularity, Rattler Racing worked to enter the market early enough to establish an amazing venue with the Denver Area Boy Scout Ranch in Peaceful Valley, Elbert Colorado. Unlike some other events, there is no cap to how many cyclists we can have on course. Mad Gravel is held over Memorial Day weekend, which is a prime time for cyclists in the Colorado Front Range, home to over 3 million people. Since 2015, Rattler Racing events have grown by double digits annually. We are establishing a great niche with heavy focus on customer service, creating unique and fun events, and putting emphasis on kids. Our desire is to build community, and people can see it. By sponsoring Rattler events, you are part of that community. Our events are professionally run while still maintaining that grass roots feel. You will be taking advantage of our increased exposure through our social media channels, dynamic website, email distribution list, flyers and an exciting MC at all of our events talking up our sponsors.

    Dave Muscianisi

My name is Dave Muscianisi. I have raced mountain bikes for over 30 years and have a deep passion for cycling, so much that I purchased a small bicycle manufacturing company in 2010. After a few years of growing that business, I felt it was more important to give back directly to the community that treated me so well for so long. In 2015, I decided to create a mid-week mountain bike series in the Denver area to grow that community, and to get more kids on bikes. At the time, I had 2 younger kids myself who were enthusiasts. Little did I realize how popular that first series would be and the community jumped all over it. My focus on customer service is almost obsessive. People want to be treated right, and that's what our entire team is centered around. It is the reason why we have seen such growth in my opinion. Because we listen to our community, we have expanded into doing stage races, other kid-specific events, more weekend events, and now shifting a little into gravel events. This is not a career I actively pursued at the beginning. However, over time, I felt I was good at it and have surrounded myself with an amazing team. It's time for growth, which in turn serves the community I have been wanting to give back to.
