Mid-Winter Night's Dream,

Old Grounds Social, Chicago, Illinois, United States Old Grounds Social, Chicago, Illinois, United States

  • About the event

I’m Stephen, I’m a 25-year-old teacher/musician/event-planner based in Chicago, Illinois. My brother (Vanderbilt University), me (University of Pennsylvania) and several friends in the creative industry have developed awesome music and social experiences for our communities since our college days through living abroad in South Africa, New York and now Chicago.

After an extremely successful “launch” event on November 10th where we had over 80 attendees fill our space to capacity - we’re curating a recurring music + social event in partnership with Old Ground Social (Lincoln Park) and 8 Hospitality in Chicago. The launch date for the first event is Saturday, January 12th.

For this series, we’re establishing partnerships with social apps, liquor companies and culture and arts organizations around Chicago. We're seeking financial contributions, in-kind contributions (photo booths, added value entertainment), contest giveaways, and other liquor/event packages from sponsors.

If you have interest in partnering with us, I'd love to schedule a brief exploratory conversation to introduce myself formally, speak more to what we can offer you through marketing and exposure and hear from you about what your key objectives and marketing initiatives would be if you were to partner with us. In addition, I’ll happily answer your questions.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to connecting with you.

    Best,

    Stephen

What will our experience look like? Here’s the rundown: Date: Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 2PM - 8PM We interviewed with several venues throughout Chicago and chose Old Ground Social because it offers the most seamless and accessible spot for infusing community and the arts. We’re expecting a turnout of 150 attendees. The event will be open to the public. Our Attendees are a mix of current college/grad-school students (Northwestern, DePaul, UChicago, University of Illinois) and young professionals ages 23-30 (60% female, 40% male) and we’ll be focusing heavily on marketing to University students and student organizations for the upcoming event. Event Exposure: We crush digital marketing. From public Facebook events to campaigns covering the social media pages and mailing lists of Old Ground Social Social and 8 Hospitality (10,000+ following), local Instagram influencers and TimeOut Chicago, we’ll get the word out. In addition, we’ll work with you to establish your company's presence at the venue prior to (via online marketing and tickets) and during the event. We’ll being offering ticketed packages for individual and group brunch and open bar packages. People will be able to attend the event without purchasing a ticket package though we’ve reserved VIP patio area for the package-purchasers. The event will host DJs as well as other entertainment at the venue (ping-pong, pool and more) We take inspiration from our NYC days - we’ll combine the social aspects of a Freehold Brooklyn with the cultural taste and musical exploration of a Tiki Disco.
