MISSION STATEMENT
Musicians Knowledge Network is a dedicated business, reaching out to the rural marketplace in Canada, with educational & expo of events focusing on musicians of all ages who are looking to network and learn about the entertainment industry.
Musicians Knowledge Core Audience:
• 80% of the surrounding population in the towns where the event is held, 20% from the greater GTA.
• 90% are Musicians & DJs.
• College or University educated.
• Technology early adapters.

Our weekend formula is set up as follows:
1. MKN CLINICS
MKN Clinics are 45 minutes; topics from instrument & vocal performance to songwriting.
2. MKN LIVE SHOWCASES
MKN Live Showcases are selected from accredited Bands, Artists and DJ's who will provide a live performance of their work. The showcases will be held on the Saturday Night.
3. MKN MARKETPLACE
The MKN Marketplace provides a selection of industry products that would be of interest to Musicians.
4. MKN NETWORK MENTORS
MKN Network Mentors will allow a person to spend 10 minutes with up to 8 different mentors on a one to one private conversation on both days.
5. MKN SEMINARS
MKN Seminars focus specific topics to educate musicians. These seminars cover topics from beginner to intermediate knowledge. (Limited seating)

Musicians Knowledge Network Demo Award
- Musicians Knowledge Network Demo Award will award one person or band $5 collected from each ticket sale for the Cambridge weekend show.
- A minimum of three songs (mp3 and lyric sheets) can be submitted for the Panel of Judges to select their decision. The submissions would be submitted through the email: *****@****.***.
- Submissions are accepted from anyone who is a songwriter or an active band.
- The total payout of the Award is determined by the amount of tickets that are sold for the Cambridge weekend show.
- The Award Value can only be used to develop a professional demo.
- Staff & Family members are not eligible.
- Songs must be submitted for the Musicians Knowledge Network Demo Award according to the listed deadlines. No exceptions will be made regarding late submissions. Musicians Knowledge Network is not responsible for submissions not received within the deadline.
- The deadlines for the contest are as follows:
December 1, 2018 Contest Opens February 15, 2019 Contest Closes
Award is announced at the weekend show at 5:00 p.m. Sunday March 31, 2019
Artist or Band MUST be at the show to receive the Award
- Winner must agree to have their image and name used in promotion material in reference to the Musicians Knowledge Network Demo Award.
- Selection of the winning applicant:
Musicians Knowledge Network will create a “selection committee”. The committee will be comprised of no fewer than three music industry professionals and no more than six music industry professionals.
The songs will be judged on four equally weighted criteria. Creativity, Originality, Storyline and Hooks..
