About the event

Spring Sounds Berlin 2023 will feature the performances of young and up and coming Reggae & Dub Artists and DJs hailing from the vibrant Berlin Music Scene. 

The Event will take place on Saturday the 13th of March, once again at the Iconic Berlinese venue of Badehaus (total capacity of 400 people), right in the heart of the RAW Gelände, a cult location for Music lovers from all around the World;

The Line-up will consist of 3 different Acts, each one giving their own insight into the Modern Sounds and Themes of Reggae combined with a fusion of different genres. From Pop to Alternative, Cumbia to Dub and many others, Spring Sounds will showcase a Fresh and New perspective on the future of the genre that Bob Marley made world-famous.

SISTER KESH I-A & ANY DUB

The first act of Spring Sounds Festival is Sister Kesh I-A & Any Dub, a dub DJ duo that kicks off the night by spinning some of the most popular and freshest dub music with a Double Vynil DJ Console. Sister Kesh I-a and AnyDub joined forces in 2022 to become a Berlin duo on the dub music scene. The two passionate vinyl collectors strive for a high concentration of dub music with female vocals, melodic versions, and creating Irie vibes that they are eager to share with all listeners.

In addition, they both focus on playing songs that address social inequalities, as well as selecting records from Jah Music with high respect for Rastafarian culture. They played a session at the 20th anniversary event "Berlin Dub Disco" with King David, shared the stage with RootsDaughters at the buyreggae store berlin and performed monthly at Berlin's "RootsCafé".

GUNNAR LINES 

The main event of the night will be the performance of the up and coming Alternative Reggae band Gunnar Lines. Inspired by legends such us: Stick Figure, Sticky fingers, Tash sultana and Kbong the band makes an alternative reggae sound which is unique to the Berlin music scene.  

Gunnar Lines is supported by the Mamajambas musicians who come from all over the world. Founded in 2020 the band has recorded their first album with a 12 piece ensemble.

BIANCA CIOCCA 

The last act of the night will be Bianca Ciocca - Shining and eclectic, Bianca creates an Elektro-Tropical-Worldmusic musical journey through an organic fusion of electronic music mixed with Cumbia, Reggae, Dub, Soul and Hip Hop with sounds of India, Latino America and Africa. Her undeniable talent for the stage, but especially her very particular voice with seductive and appealing intonations - as well as her dancing performances - have seduced particularly the scene in Berlin, Rome, Goa, Nuakchot and Barcelona. 

Bianca developed her musical style also thanks to the numerous trips to Asia, Africa and Latin America that led her to combine different sounds in a single melting-pot creating a style of her own and original interpreted in different languages; like the reality that she lives in her multicultural world.

Seasons Sounds Events

Season Sounds is a multifaceted events company based and founded in Berlin. They provide  seasonally themed genre diverse music experiences. 

Season Sounds works with a vibrant array of up and coming bands and established Berlin based acts. From Reggae to funk, rock to punk, Season Sounds are to be enjoyed  by everyone .

Each season we organize a concert which is themed according to the time of the year.
Working with Berlin artists we strengthen and aim at the growth of the local music scene. Having a team of designers, promoters and industry professionals we create quality over quantity in our events.

Our goal is to make musiscianship a form of profession that has the same recognition as other professions and pay the parties involved accordingly without diminishing the concert experience of fans.

Season sounds make sure that music is accessible to everyone, by ensuring a safe space to minorities such as the LGBTQ+ community, BiPOC, and other discriminated members of society, as well as working exclusively with barrier free venues.
