  • About the event

Taal is an effort from Valley Bengali Community to bring the rich Indian Classical music to western world. Music is one great medium to build harmony and collaboration. Leveraging that medium VBC is organizing this event in the form of classical music to bring people of different race and religion together. Also, this will create an opportunity for the people in this community to learn about world music. VBC is excited to organize this classical music fest in greater Los Angeles area to bring the vibrant community together.

The event will be on -

    • July 13, 2019 Satuday

To celebrate the world of music, VBC is inviting eminent singer and musician Suchismita Das and Tanmoy Bose for an evening of Ghazal and Thumri, a popular genre of classical music. Suchismita Das is an Indian vocalist of considerable note in the classical world. This singing nightingale encourages the nation’s youth to develop a taste for classical music. Tanmoy Bose is an Indian percussionist and tabla player, musical producer and composer. He has collaborated and played regularly in the past with Pandit Ravi Shankar, Anoushka Shankar and Amjad Ali Khan.

    Why should you sponsor?

While this is an Indian Classical music fest, the genre of the music has a big fan following in Hollywood. Suchismita Das herself was a playback singer of a Hollywood produced movie. VBC expects an attendance of around 500 people in this event. Besides members of the organization in San Fernando Valley and Conejo Valley, we expect music enthusiasts from as far as Santa Barbara and South Bay to attend this festival.

Attendees of this event represent a very diverse socio-economic profile. Whether they are college students or empty nesters, young families or family with growing kids they all belong to a community that is one of the most highly educated ethnic groups in the U.S. Many of these attendees are established executives, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, engineers and doctors.

With this event VBC brings a unique opportunity for businesses of all sizes to reach out to local community and expand their customer base. This is one of those communities where attandees trust recommendation from friends more than thousands of positive online reviews; They tend to use referrals from fellow members more than an advertisement in a local coupon book. This is what one of the sponsors mentioned about the opportunity - “In my business I rely on referrals and recommendations. I am working with VBC members for the last couple of years and they have helped me get many new clients”.

This event will be a great place for any company to promote their business through lead generation or highlighting a product or by making a sell during the event. For early sponsors this is also an opportunity to connect with their customers through different channels like newsletter etc..

Apart from business growth and marketing possibilities, by engaging with VBC and this initiative, a business will be able to make a social impact on the local community. VBC welcomes you to join the festivities and hopes to see you at the event.
