About the event
We are AixTalks e.V a student initiative at the RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany and we are responsible to hold the yearly HUGE TEDx conference events.
This year the event with the theme name "Uncharted Waters" will take place on 11th of June 2022 in Aachen in the form of a conference. We are expecting around 250 attendees which will be a mixture of students, professors and other interested people especially from the RWTH Aachen environment. The whole event will be uploaded on TEDx Talks youtube channel with over 30M subscribers. The event is designed to have an impact beyond nationale borders, as we value diversity and international opennessWe currently have 5 speakers that are accepted into our program and are currently preparing their talks on the following themes: Fear and Vulnerability, Mental Health and Culture, Scientific Technologies and what it means to Gen Z.

I am currently studying Physics B.Sc at the 6th semester. Why am I in AixTalks and what do I get in return? Well, actually we do not get paid at all, it is a fully non-profit organisation focused to deliver quality content to future world leaders at severel areas of focus. During my activities at AixTalks I learned a lot of new things, such as creating financial reports, contacting companies and searching for sponsors. Let alone the amount of awesome new people I met.
