TEDxYouth@HaynesAcademy,

Metairie, Louisiana, United States Metairie, Louisiana, United States

  • About the event

TEDxYouth@HaynesAcademy is a event held mainly for the students of Haynes Academy, in which it is student-organized and student-based in order to bring the community of our school closer together in talks relating from the importance of creativity and art to the need for self-love and acceptance. There will be five fifteen minute long talks given by selected students at Haynes Academy that will speak on clear and relevant subjects to help project prospects about a bright future into our school's students. Mainly, we are trying to connect and further educate students on how to become more aware of their self-abilities and to recognize on how to propel their talents to reach their full potential.

    Why should you sponsor?

Although there is no monetary benefit to sponser our event, we will be able to spread the name of sponser throughout the community and to include it and further promote the name of the sponser at the day of our event-from videos to flyers and other promotional resources. We are allowing sponsers to reveal the publicity of their good will in helping high school students to organize such an event.

    Jessica Xu

My name is Jessica Xu, the lead organizer for TEDxYouth@HaynesAcademy, which is heavily student-led, with teachers taking a backseat approach. I am a junior at Haynes Academy, and I have been entrusted to carry out the planning and leading of this event, in which I am very dedicated to creating a successful event to benefit the students of my school as well as the teachers. I have been working to organize this event since December of 2019, and I am meticulously planning out every detail to ensure the goal of our event. Although I am young, please know I am open-minded and well-organized to do the best work of my ability with working with others in order to give back to those who have given to me, as well as to educate the younger generations of their abilities and the awareness of their bright future.
