SHARE IN THE FUN OF THE COAST'S ONLY FILM FESTIVAL
BEACH BREAK ENTERTAINMENT
Identifying a lack of independent films and entertainment in general on the San Mateo County coast, Julie Mell launched Beach Break Entertainment at the beginning of the COVID-19 shutdown in August of 2020. With each film screening provided resulted in much-needed business for local restaurants and establishments, as well as contributions to nonprofits.
As valued and integral member of the Coastside creative community, she produced the inaugural Beach Break Film Festival in December of 2022, offering a unique, thought-provoking independent film experience. The festival raises awareness in the lack of funding for the arts and fuels the region's economy.
