About the event
Held in historic Durham Castle, University College’s annual June Ball is one of the most highly anticipated events in the Durham University social calendar. The Ball has gained national recognition, having previously featured in Tatler’s ‘Bystander’, The Guardian’s ‘Top 100 Things To Do Before You Die’ and Mastercard’s ‘Top Events Money Can’t Buy’.
The event runs every year with twelve stright hours of non-stop partying from 5pm to 5am, featuring dining in the great hall, music across multiple stages, fairground rides at the foot of the landmark Durham Cathedral, and thematic entertainment throughout the many rooms of the stunning Castle.
Generous sponsorship partnerships facilitate the running of this prestigious event, enabling the Committee to ensure that the evening lives up to the outstanding reputation it has developed over the years. Previous sponsors have included Red Bull, Tatler, Boots, Yorkshire Tea and Microsoft.
