The Q Musicale Festival and The Q Music Awards are a major cultural partner of Pride Toronto. The Q Musicale is a series of live music festivals and recurring small venue events striving to support and promote live queer music artists in environments which provide the freedom and safety for queer artists to present their art as their true and authentic selves, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. This includes strong, active queer allies. The Q Music Awards will be handed out during the festival dates at Sankofa Square over Pride weekend, in partnership with the Inspire Awards, a queer community awards programme with 14 successful years of production.
Having successfully produced two annual festivals in each of 2024 and 2025, as well as many weekly or monthly small venue events throughout 2024 and 2025, The Q Musicale is now proud to present two series of festival events in early June 2026, at The Distillery Historic District, and over Toronto Pride weekend 2026, at Sankofa Square. The Sankofa Square festival dates will also include the inaugural The Q Music Awards.
