Westside Cypher,

Atlanta, Georgia, United States Atlanta, Georgia, United States

  • About the event

    To whom it may concern:

My name is Kristian Barnes. I am a 27 yr old black man from the westside of Atlanta. In this area, its hard to get by on a day to day basis, let alone making it out. Growing up I was faced with many problems and options that were all negative but not given a way out. With my back against the wall I ran to music and poetry and realized this could be an outlook for alot of the youth. In 2015, I put together "The Westside Cypher". The Westside Cypher was originally just a platform for my self and a couple up and coming artists. It then begin to grow into a platform for not only myself, but a networking event for up and coming music artists,up and coming poets, up and coming videographers, comedians, photographers and more. It is an outlet and introduction to something new in the "hood". It is also a free event for the community. It is a day where the entire community, kids and adults, can feel safe. We provide free hot dogs and hamburgers and water, a DJ with live music, and a camera crew.
For the past 3 years I have put together 4 Westside Cypher events  and they have all been successful. We usually bring out a least200 people who are just spectators not including the talent. This event takes place once a year in a public park on the westside.
There are a couple ways that you guys could help make this a successful community event. One would be if you could provide the food, two, would be if you could provide a bounce house for the kids who will be in attendance, and three would be if you could just bring a banner or 2 That can represent you being apart of the event. Any of these things would be greatly appreciated. Please respond thru phone or email, 4703505057 or *****@****.***

    Why should you sponsor?

A sponsor should be apart of this event because it is history in the making. This event helps the community and also the hip hop culture. When this event is successful it puts another sense if hope and shows that our city is not only about negativity but also postivity and uplifting.

I am a 27 year old working, family man from the bottom f the bottom. I am a product of my environment and am trying to use the small platform that I do have to give back.
