Whitefield Durga Puja 2018,

Whitefield, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Whitefield, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

  • About the event

We are excited to let you know that Whitefield Cultural Association will be organizing the 15th Year of Durga Pujo celebration at the inner circle grounds in Whitefield, Bangalore from the 15th to 19th October, 2018.

This is without doubt the biggest Pujo in and around Whitefield and one of the biggest and oldest Pujo in Bangalore with a footfall ranging between 50-60K during the 4 days. The event is highlighted by one of the best Durga idol, a huge stage for cultural performances, where major cultural teams and bands from Kolkata and Bangalore enthrall the audience with their performance. There are also various food stalls lined up to take care of your taste buds while you enjoy with us during the celebrations. This is not only an opportunity to have fun and enjoy but also opens up opportunities for prospective business to market their products and services to a prospective audience comprising mostly of senior industry leaders of various industries.

We look forward to your participation and encourage your friends and family to join us too.

    Why should you sponsor?

With over 50,000 footfalls during the 5 days, Whitefield Cultural Association Puja has grown from strength to strength since its inception in 2003 and is one of the most esteemed and looked forward to Puja in the Whitefield area and the entire Bengaluru. Over the last few years, Whitefield has witnessed a multi-fold increase in its attractiveness as a prime residential and business location in Bengaluru. Also, by organizing the event at the Inner Circle grounds, we have ensured that the reach of this Puja extends beyond the immediate adjoining areas of Whitefield.

As we step in to the 15th year of celebrations we intend to make this event much larger in scale over the next few years and also provide ample opportunities for advertising and sponsorship opportunities that will help you derive maximum benefits for your business and endeavors.

We look forward to your patronage to make this event bigger and better in the years to come and transform the same into a larger community event for all residents of Whitefield and the adjoining regions. This process will also help you promote your brand and communication in a much larger and effective manner.

    Whitefield Admin

Whitefield Cultural Association (WCA) established in 2003, is registered under Govt of Karnataka. Our desire is to extend a gracious and inclusive welcome to all of you. Many of you have made a huge effort to join us today. On behalf of us all, we are deeply appreciative and offer you our most grateful welcome.

For a Bengali out of Bengal, Durga Pujo is an occasion that is perhaps the most loved and the most missed. Bangalore sure has its own Durga pujas here and there, peeping out of some corner somewhere, but the mad, crazy fever that Bengal dons during the five-day long festival is nowhere to be found. It can be felt only if we actively participate in pujo activities right from idol selection to idol bisarjan.

Here in WCA, members are not chosen selectively. True to our vision, all are welcome here. WCA does not desert its members and encourages active participation in all the activities of the association.

WCA has been trying its best to provide such an environment where everyone can find the positive energy and blend it to build a stronger foundation for Bengalis in and around Whitefield for today as well as for tomorrow.

For the past few years’ members, sponsors, volunteers, donors have been providing relentless support and co-operation in strengthening the foundation of WCA.

WCA’s list of celebrations and events are on the increasing trend. WCA hosts Durga puja, Kali puja, Saraswati puja, Poila boisakh and Rabindra Jayanti too has been included in its event list so that Bengalis away from their homeland stay in touch with their famed cultural background. Apart from this Bengalis are known for their immense love for food.

So keeping in mind of our gastronomical titles, WCA hosts potluck, picnic and bijoya sammiloni and many such events where we gather to talk over our beoved food.

Now coming to what makes our pujo different is that WCA durga pujo location draws a line of symmetry to our homeland pujo. ‘Khola math’e pujor anando’r kono simana nei. And this prime location of inner circle ground in Whitefield has been the location of WCA’s dugra pujo for years. ‘Bhog’, ‘Maha Prasad’, ‘Cultural Nights’ are additional highlights to it.
