About the Festival
The Wildflower Arts and Nature Festival is a 1-day festival showcasing local artists and nature. The event will have an array of Arts and Nature centered activities, such as Art Shows, Guided Wildflower Hikes, Live Local Music, Educational Presentations on Wildflowers, Wildlife, and Nature, and local artisan vendors and nonprofit organizations. This will be the only event of its kind in West Virginia, and the tristate area. While others host Wildflower Walks and Hikes, we aim to present an entire day of nature education and art appreciation.
About the Venue
Beech Fork State Park is located 12 miles south of Huntington, WV. The venue is close enough to the Huntington metropolitan area to attract city dwellers for a day trip, yet far enough away from civilization to immerse visitors in nature.
About the Event Planning Team
The Planning team will consist of Beech Fork State Park Foundation members and outside volunteers. The foundation members are experienced with hosting and planning a festival, as they have been volunteering for the Park’s Heron Fest in October for the last decade. While the Wildflower Arts and Nature Festival aims to be a bigger more in-depth festival, the core principals are the same.
Beech Fork State Park Foundation is a West Virginia charity supporting Beech Fork State Park. Our Wildflower Arts and Nature Festival is a core part of our fundraising and programming. Through the Wildflower Arts and Nature Festival we present nature education to the public during the Festival and throughout the summer camping season.
