About the event
The Kiwis vaulting team at the Kapiti Vaulting Club is preparing to represent NZ at the Vaulting World Championships for Juniors in the Netherlands this year (2019). Our Auckland based club, Waimauku Vaulting Club, is hosting a wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser to support the New Zealand Vaulting team which includes our own waimauku vaulter, Jasmyn Rodriguez.
All funds raised will be donated to the Kapiti Vaulting Club, a nonprofit registered charity. The community spirit of the Kapiti Vaulting Club is evident in the variety of services for different groups, also enabling our youth to take leadership and give support to other members in their coaching and volunteer assistance. It takes a great deal of dedication, training, and commitment to reach a world championships level. The Kapiti Vaulting Club places a high focus on the development of exceptional role models and incentive for our youth to reach high.
Equestrian vaulting is a well developed sport in Europe. It is an acrobatic and theatrical gymnastic display involving up to three people at once on large sized horses. The vaulters train to have extreme body control to work in harmony with the horse and be very light on their backs - making some very difficult manoeuvres look effortless. The entertaining art of this sport has it aligned to be an Olympic sport in the near future.
The Kapiti Vaulting Club has a track record of making far fetched goals happen. Over a span of 20 years in a little known sport to New Zealand, this club has kept up the resilience and perseverance to produce multiple world class athletes both individually and also sending a vaulting team to the 2014 World Equestrian Games in France.

Why should you sponsor?
We are looking for sponsors who are committed to the development of youth, local entertainment events, youth achievement, New Zealand high performance sports, and womens sports initiatives.
Further to this event we are seeking donors to support the overall cause of funding New Zealand to compete at the 2019 Vaulting World Championships for Juniors in Ermelo, Netherlands with any of the following:
• Sports and community grants
• Tax-refundable Donations
• Donors of items and services for our regular stream of fundraising events with raffles and silent auctions.Every donor and sponsor will receive international and nationwide exposure on our website and social media.
