About the event
The 10k is about raising money to support a non-profit organisation, called Travelteer. I will be running around the university of Leicester up to the town centre and back again over the course of 2 hours. This race will allow me to show my dedication to this charity which offers to support children in Sri Lanka, Morroco and Fiji. They work to provide mental health support, educational support, infrastructure, agriculture and much more.
Why should you sponsor?
Sponsoring my event will help me reach my goal of £300 for Travelteer. I have been offered an experience to work alongside Travelteer in Morroco over the summer. In this time I will help to teach children who are not as fortunate to have sufficient teaching and will help them with managing their agriculture while also providing clean water through supporting their infrastructure. I am very fortunate to be offered this and I am looking to make a difference in the world. This event is a show of my dedication and resilience to help those in need. All funds will go to the charity.
Leilani PulbosI am a young person who has had a disadvantaged life in care and the support of a brand would show their dedication to support those from all backgrounds. Through my own experiences, I have managed to reach out and help improve the lives of young people in care and with the support of a brand I can show them how despite their situation, there will be support out there no matter their past. Also, I work alongside social workers which I can allow the brand to have exposure to alongside other foster carers and friends. Despite being from a disadvantaged background myself, there are others who are less fortunate and possibly in a situation similar to myself who I'd like to show that it wont stop them from reaching their dream. I'm a care leaver and I have learnt to support myself on my own and be accepted into university and I'd like to take it a step further and use my experiences to make an impact on others.
