Coffee & R&B — Brand Overview
Coffee & R&B is a recurring monthly lifestyle experience in St. Louis that blends specialty coffee, curated R&B and Neo-Soul sound, and intentional community connection. Since launching in April, the brand has grown from a single pop-up into a consistently sold-out experience by July — entirely through organic community engagement, with zero paid advertising.
More than an event, Coffee & R&B is a reset. It's a space built for entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals to slow down, be present, and reconnect — with others and with themselves — through live music, curated sound, brunch, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The brand's growth trajectory points toward a larger vision: a dedicated Coffee & R&B venue, an expanded merchandise and coffee product line, and eventual expansion into other cities. Partners at this level aren't just sponsoring an event — they're aligning with a growing cultural brand at the ground floor of its next phase.
1. Proven, organic growth The brand grew from an April launch to consistently selling out by July — with zero paid advertising. That's real demand, not manufactured hype. Sponsors are backing something the market has already validated.
2. A highly engaged, intentional audience Coffee & R&B doesn't attract passive attendees — it draws entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals who show up specifically for connection, culture, and presence. That's a warmer, more receptive audience than a typical event crowd.
3. Brand alignment with culture, not just visibility This isn't a generic vendor booth situation. Sponsors get woven into a lifestyle brand built around music, wellness, and community — the kind of association that builds goodwill, not just impressions.
4. Ground-floor opportunity The brand is scaling — toward a dedicated venue, merchandise, a coffee product line, and expansion into other cities. Early sponsors grow alongside the brand rather than joining after it's already established.
5. Multi-channel exposure Sponsors get visibility across the event itself, Coffee & R&B's social platforms, email communications, and post-event recap content — turning a single sponsorship into ongoing brand exposure.
Coffee & R&B is my baby. I'm Tyrus Watson — 20+ years deep in the St. Louis culture scene as a DJ, dancer, and event producer, and Coffee & R&B is the lifestyle brand I built under my company, 2VIBE2LLC. It's a monthly experience that pairs specialty coffee with a curated R&B, Neo-Soul, and soul classics soundtrack — not your typical networking mixer, but a reset.
I grew it from an April launch to a sold-out event by July with zero paid advertising. I handle the DJing, the event production, and all the brand content myself — video, photo, graphic design, social strategy — every single edition. I'm also the one building the sponsorship structure, recruiting vendors, and doing outreach to bring the right partners and collaborators into the space.
My bigger vision is a dedicated indoor/outdoor venue — one room for a more mature crowd, an outdoor patio for a younger-mature crowd, each with its own vibe — plus a merchandise and coffee product line, and eventually taking this experience to other cities. Coffee & R&B isn't just an event to me. It's the foundation for something bigger, and I'm building it piece by piece.
