SponsorMe LLC, a California limited liability company (“SponsorMyEvent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the website located at sponsormyevent.com and provides an online platform and related services that facilitate connections and sponsorship opportunities between event organizers and sponsors (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit and use the Service.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Terms of Use.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular user or device.

Account and Profile Data. When organizers or sponsors create an account, we collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords (in hashed form), corporate affiliations, job titles, profile descriptions, profile photos, and similar information.

Event and Sponsorship Data. We collect details about events you create or sponsor, sponsorship packages, pricing, sponsorship history, deal status, contracts, and marketplace communications between organizers and sponsors.

Financial and Payment Data. We collect billing addresses, payout details, and limited financial account information necessary to process sponsorship transactions. All payment card data is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processors (Stripe and, where applicable, PayPal); we do not store full credit card numbers, CVCs, or full bank account numbers on our servers.

Communications. We collect the content of messages you send through the Service, support tickets, survey responses, and email correspondence with us.

Third-Party Login Data. If you choose to register or sign in using a social or third-party login provider (for example, Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn via OneAll), we receive certain profile information from that provider in accordance with your privacy settings on the provider’s service.

Imported Event Data. If you connect a third-party event platform such as Eventbrite, we receive event details, attendee counts, and related metadata that you authorize that platform to share with us.

Technical and Usage Data. We automatically collect IP addresses, browser types, device identifiers, operating systems, referring and exit URLs, pages viewed, click-stream data, and dates and times of your visits, through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies.

Sensitive Personal Information. We do not intentionally collect categories of “sensitive personal information” as defined by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) (such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, or genetic or biometric data) for purposes of inferring characteristics about you. Account credentials (such as passwords) are treated as sensitive and protected accordingly.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following business purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, operate, and improve the SponsorMyEvent marketplace.
  • To facilitate matches, introductions, negotiations, contracts, and payments between event organizers and sponsors.
  • To process payments, billing, payouts, refunds, and chargebacks.

  • To respond to customer service requests and send administrative, transactional, and service-related communications.
  • To send marketing or promotional communications about features, events, content, or offers, where permitted by law and subject to your communication preferences.
  • To monitor and analyze site usage, traffic trends, conversions, and platform security.
  • To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect the rights, property, or safety of SponsorMyEvent, our users, or others.

3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:

With Other Users. To facilitate matches and transactions, we share profile data, event listings, sponsorship packages, deal information, and marketplace messages between organizers and sponsors as required by the nature of the Service.

Service Providers. We share data with third-party vendors that perform services on our behalf, subject to obligations of confidentiality and limited use. See Section 4 for a list of our principal service providers.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, the public, or SponsorMyEvent.

Business Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of the marketplace.

6. DO NOT TRACK

California law requires us to disclose how we respond to web browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. There is no uniform industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, and SponsorMyEvent does not currently alter its data-collection practices in response to automated DNT signals. We will reassess our approach as standards evolve.

14. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Service is intended for users who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly market to or solicit information from any individual under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as soon as practicable.
