The Community Giving Carnival is a youth-led service event designed to empower young people to take an active role in caring for their community.
Founded on the belief that leadership begins with compassion, this event brings K–12 students together for a day of hands-on service, learning, and purpose. Youth volunteers will assemble hygiene kits, snack packs, and essential care items that will be distributed to individuals and families in need across Southern Nevada.
What makes the Community Giving Carnival unique is that it is not just a volunteer event it is a leadership experience. Students are encouraged to step into responsibility, teamwork, and service, learning that they are capable of creating real impact at any age.
This event is led by Creating a Giving Culture LV, a youth-led nonprofit founded by Aiyana Castro, who began serving her community at just 11 years old. After years of volunteering and being told she was “too young” to lead, Aiyana chose to build a space where young people could lead with intention, organization, and heart.
The Community Giving Carnival is an official America 250 Nevada Gives Project and is led in partnership with the Nevada Volunteers Youth Council. Together, we are creating opportunities for youth to serve with dignity, structure, and purpose while meeting real needs in our community.
Supporters and sponsors of this event are helping do more than provide supplies. They are investing in youth leadership, community connection, and a future generation that understands the value of service.
Sponsoring the Community Giving Carnival is an opportunity to invest in both immediate community impact and the future of youth leadership in Southern Nevada.
Your support directly provides essential resources such as hygiene items, food, and care supplies to individuals and families in need, while also empowering young people to lead meaningful service efforts. This event is intentionally youth-led, giving students real responsibility, structure, and ownership over positive change in their community.
Unlike traditional events where youth simply attend, the Community Giving Carnival places young people at the center of action. Sponsors help create an environment where students learn empathy, teamwork, and leadership by doing lessons that stay with them long after the event ends.
This project is led by Creating a Giving Culture LV in partnership with the Nevada Volunteers Youth Council and is recognized as an official America 250 Nevada Gives Project. Sponsors can trust that their support is part of a well-organized, values-driven initiative aligned with civic engagement and community service.
By supporting this event, sponsors are not only meeting a real community need they are standing behind a generation of young leaders who are choosing compassion, responsibility, and service. Your partnership sends a powerful message that youth voices matter and that investing in kindness and leadership strengthens our entire community.
Creating a Giving Culture LV was founded from a simple but powerful belief: young people are not too young to lead meaningful change.
Our founder, Aiyana Castro, began serving her community at just 11 years old. What started as helping where she saw need quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to service. Over the years, Aiyana has led and participated in countless community efforts supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship often stepping up when told she was “too young” to make a difference.
Rather than waiting for permission, Aiyana created her own opportunities to serve. That determination led to the creation of Creating a Giving Culture LV, a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering K–12 students to turn compassion into action through hands on service and leadership.
Today, Aiyana is a high school student leader who continues to balance academics, leadership roles, and service while inspiring other youth to believe in their ability to give back. Through Creating a Giving Culture LV, she mobilizes young people to assemble care kits, organize community projects, and learn that leadership begins the moment you choose to care.
The Community Giving Carnival represents the heart of this mission bringing students together to serve side by side, learn the value of generosity, and see firsthand the impact they can make. This project is led by the Nevada Volunteers Youth Council, in partnership with Creating a Giving Culture LV, and is recognized as an official America 250 Nevada Gives Project.
Sponsors who support this event are not only helping meet immediate community needs they are investing in youth leadership, character, and a future generation committed to service. Every contribution directly supports young people who are choosing empathy, responsibility, and action.
