Rawaa Salman

Hi, I'm Rawa’a — a social worker, educator, published author, proud mum of two, and finalist in Miss National NZ & Worldwide 2026–2027.

Originally from the UAE with Egyptian and Iraqi roots, I now call New Zealand home. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, a Master of Social Work from Massey University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction from AUT, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from the University of Otago.

I am the author of *رُسُل* and *Luciano*, and I am passionate about empowering others through education, storytelling, and community engagement.

Giving back to the community is at the heart of who I am. I have volunteered with the New Zealand Red Cross, supported fundraising initiatives for Starship Children's Hospital, and continue to support charitable causes. I also enjoy painting and have a collection of artworks available for sale, with proceeds helping to support fundraising and community initiatives.

When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with my children, enjoying Pilates, baking, photography, and other creative pursuits.

I joined this journey to challenge myself, celebrate diversity, and show that dreams don't expire. I hope to inspire others to embrace their unique story, pursue their goals with confidence, and never stop believing in what's possible.
