About the event

Our Story Is GivingTuesday 2026 is a community impact campaign supporting our mission to expand equitable access to high quality, nutritious food throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. From October 5 through December 8, we are inviting corporate partners to invest in Our Story Grows, our food access program providing fresh produce, nutritious groceries, produce boxes, home growing resources, and nutrition education to individuals and families.

GivingTuesday provides an opportunity to bring businesses and community partners together around a shared commitment to healthy food access. Sponsorships will help Our Story Is strengthen and expand this work while ensuring the people we serve have access to high quality food with dignity and choice.

Why should you sponsor?

Supporting Our Story Is GivingTuesday 2026 means investing in a different approach to food access, one rooted in quality, dignity, choice, and long term sustainability.

Through Our Story Grows, we provide individuals and families throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties with high quality, farm fresh produce sourced directly from farms and grown without pesticides, along with fresh herbs and nutritious foods. We believe financial circumstances should never determine the quality of food a person or family can access.

But our work does not stop with providing food. We are creating pathways toward greater food independence. Participants receive seed packets and growing guides that give them the opportunity to grow their own food at home. We pair these resources with nutrition education, recipes, practical guidance, and continued engagement so families can build the knowledge and confidence to make nutritious choices, grow food, extend what they have, and become less dependent on ongoing assistance.

Our produce boxes extend access beyond our community markets, reaching households with high quality fresh food and resources directly. As Our Story Grows continues to evolve, we are also developing new ways for people to access nutritious food, including those who may not qualify for traditional food assistance but still struggle with the rising cost of feeding their families.

A monetary sponsorship helps us purchase and provide high quality food, herbs and growing resources, expand our reach, strengthen our infrastructure, and continue building sustainable pathways from immediate food support toward greater food security and self sufficiency.

For corporate partners, this is more than supporting a single day of giving. It is an investment in a growing model that combines immediate nourishment with dignity, choice, education, home growing, sustainability, and long term independence.

Our Story Is is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to healthy food access while preserving dignity and choice. Since 2022, we have served individuals and families throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties through Our Story Grows, providing high quality fresh produce and nutritious foods, produce boxes, home growing resources, and nutrition education.

Our work has grown from serving approximately 100 people at our community market to reaching nearly 1,000 participants, supported by a volunteer community of more than 200 people. Our Story Is has received support from organizations and community partners including Sprouts Farmers Market, Target, Walmart, and the City of Los Angeles. Our work has also been recognized by ABC7 and other media outlets.

We believe trust is built through consistent service, responsible stewardship, and measurable community impact. Corporate sponsorship directly strengthens our ability to provide high quality nutritious food and create sustainable pathways toward greater food security for the communities we serve.
