Shadows of The Stag,

Ormesby Saint Margaret, England, United Kingdom Ormesby Saint Margaret, England, United Kingdom

  • About the event

When explorers discover something strange in the ruins of Atlantis, lives in East Anglia are put in danger. At the heart of this new performance lies the Peryton – a legendary stag with wings and the shadow of a man. Through a mythological lens, Shadows of The Stag reimagines the arrival of the Chinese water deer to the region, asking what happens when myth collides with fact, and bringing attention to wildlife conservation along the East Anglian coast both on land and in the depths of the sea.

The performance unfolds in two halves: first, a stylised movement piece, followed by an immersive second act where the audience is drawn into the action. Audiences will be seated at shared tables of six, with the option to order drinks and snacks to your table throughout the show, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Refreshments include popcorn, sweets, crisps and soft drinks, with eco-friendly choices wherever possible to reflect the show’s environmental themes.

    Why should you sponsor?

Sponsoring Shadows of The Stag is an opportunity for businesses to align themselves with a project rooted in community and environmental sustainability. At Luminescence Theatre Company, we are dedicated to telling stories that reflect real life in East Anglia, and Shadows of The Stag explores the urgent theme of wildlife conservation both at sea and in the local marshlands.

Your sponsorship will help make this production accessible to as many people as possible. By supporting our costs, you enable us to keep ticket prices affordable and provide families from all backgrounds with acess to high-quality theatre.

Archie Muir is a Co-Artistic Director of Luminescence Theatre Company.

Luminescence Theatre Company creates performances, events and community-first projects that bring people together to tell stories.

Many theatre companies focus on making the work and placing it into existing venues. We work a little differently. We produce and host our own events from start to finish - from finding the venue and selling the tickets to welcoming the audience and supporting the artists. This means the environment, the people and the work are shaped together.

Not everything we do is a show. Our work is about learning, experimenting, and sharing stories with others who love making things. Sometimes that leads to a performance. Sometimes it's a workshop, a screening, or a social gathering.

Whether you're on one of our stages, in the room, or just walking through the door, Luminescence is about being part of something that's made together.
