About the event
Suicide is the 9th leading cause ofdeath in Utah – 12th in the nation.Many organizations are working to stop suicide and we’ve teamed up with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to help.
We’re adding our voice for ending the stigma surrounding mental health andproviding an event where anyoneaffected by suicide can come to continue healing.
100% of the funds raised from participation in this event go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention so we rely heavily on help from our sponsors to make this event happen each year. Your support can’t be overstated. Please join us by becoming a sponsor and add your name with ours to help stop suicide.Families from all over Utah, but primarily from the salt lake valley take part in this event. Many are athletic and appreciate that this race is professionally timed. Many walk or jog and enjoy the atmosphere of support they feel at the event.
Why should you sponsor?
In a well-designed sound system, each piece works together to
contribute to the whole. In the same way, your sponsorship, at any
level, plays an important role in helping amplify our voices for
suicide prevention.Our goal for this year is to raise $30,000 for the American
Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Your contribution helps make
this possible.
We’re calling our amazing sponsors Event Amplifiers. Each level of
amplification is represented by a different decibel level. Choose
the level that’s right for your company.40 dB equals the average noise level at home
80 dB equals the noise in a busy restaurant
110 dB equals the sound at a rock concert
140 dB equals the sound of the explosion of fireworks

We had been thinking deeply about what we valued as a company and
wanted to do something to support our community. One of the causes that
hit closest to home among our nearly 100 employees was suicide
prevention.
We decided to get involved by holding a 5k for the community to raise
funds. After the first year, our company’s president pledged to hold the
event every year and has never looked back.
We love this event and are grateful for the opportunity to assist in such an
important cause. -
