Swingaway to Growth is a Charity Golf Outing in partnership with Topgolf El Segundo supporting deserving youth and educational travel.

Why should you sponsor?

As our world becomes increasingly interconnected and we experience an era of unprecedented world challenges, it is imperative for our youth to be aware of how they are interrelated with people in other parts of the world. At Getaway Growth, we believe enriching opportunities such as transformative travel and experiential learning prepare students to develop the nuance and understanding needed for real-world interactions and become global leaders of tomorrow. 

Too often underserved communities face insurmountable obstacles in participating in these enriching experiences. It is our mission to remove barriers and facilitate access to international travel for youth in the United States. By developing and providing fully-funded programs with a combined multi-disciplinary and immersive global experience, we offer students an opportunity of a lifetime. In returning home, we hope to open new paths for life and work along with a mindset of possibility. 

100% of the proceeds from our event will directly benefit our students and help cover the costs of their participation in our Intercultural Competence and Service Learning Program in Kenya this summer. This includes their airfare, accommodation, three meals a day, snacks, transportation while in Kenya, student program fees, chaperone fees, co/extra-curricular activities, and entrance fees to educational sights. 

Since our founding in 2021, Getaway Growth has partnered with non-profit organizations and community leaders in Kenya to organize diverse, equitable, and transformative travel experiences for our student cohort. This past summer our cohort of 10, five from the United States and five from the host country, participated in a two-week educational program exploring intercultural competence, ethical service learning, and environmental stewardship.

Getaway Growth is a 501(c)3 dedicated to removing barriers and facilitating access to international travel and unique educational opportunities for underserved youth in the United States. By planning and providing fully-funded trips, with a combined multidisciplinary and immersive global experience, we offer students an opportunity of a lifetime.

Our vision is a future where young adults are able to gain a deeper understanding of the world. We hope that our students return home with a mindset of new possibilities and open new paths for life and work to thrive in a rapidly transforming and complex world.
