About the event

The Empowerment Expedition Retreats are events that include the 5000 Role Models Fellowship Camping Trip and Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium for our Ladies in Training Program. These events aim to provide our young boys and girls with an enriching experience focused on leadership, teamwork, and personal development. Throughout the year, these students have engaged in various educational and community activities, and this trip serves as a culmination of their hard work. The retreats will include indoor and outdoor adventures, team-building exercises, and workshops that foster resilience, tolerance, confidence, and a deeper connection with themselves and others.

Why should you sponsor?

As a Title One school serving low-income students, we face significant financial challenges and have limited funds to support such initiatives. Despite our participants' best efforts to raise funds through bake sales, car washes, and other community events, we have not been able to secure the necessary funds.

By sponsoring our event, you will empower future leaders by directly impacting the lives of our youth, providing them with opportunities to develop essential life skills and leadership qualities. Supporting this event demonstrates your commitment to fostering a strong, supportive community and shows that you value the growth and development of our young students. Genvieve Stephenson

I am Ms.Stephenson and I  a dedicated school counselor and club advisor for Title One students. With over 20 years of experience as a school counselor and an additional four years as a teacher, I am also currently pursuing my doctoral studies. My professional motto is "Expose, Opportunity, and Experience to Ensure Growth and Responsibility." I am committed to providing our students with the opportunities and experiences they need to grow into responsible and successful individuals.
