Sage & Soul’s 2nd Annual Royal Holiday Masquerade Ball is an elegant evening of celebration, connection, community, and economic empowerment taking place Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 7:00–11:00 PM at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square in San Francisco, California.

Hosted by Sage & Soul, a growing community dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for women 50+, the Royal Holiday Masquerade Ball brings together community members, entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners, and supporters for an unforgettable evening of fellowship and celebration.

The evening will feature dinner, music and dancing, a Black-owned vendor marketplace, raffles, networking, community recognition, and an elegant masquerade experience in the heart of San Francisco.

A special focus of the event is supporting and increasing visibility for Black women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs through our vendor marketplace and community partnerships.

We are seeking corporate sponsors, community partners, small businesses, and philanthropic supporters who believe in community connection, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and creating affirming spaces for women.

Sponsorship support will help underwrite key event expenses, including venue and hospitality, entertainment, décor, programming, and the overall guest experience. Sponsors will receive opportunities for brand visibility and recognition before and during the event, with benefits based on sponsorship level.

Arlene Hudson

I am Dr. Arlene Hudson, Founder and Executive Director of Sage & Soul and Standing in the Gap Leadership Academy. I am an educator, ordained minister, author, community leader, and advocate with more than 30 years of experience in education, leadership, and community engagement.

I founded Sage & Soul to create intentional spaces where women 50+ can build authentic relationships, experience sisterhood, travel, celebrate life, pursue wellness, and remain connected to community, with a particular commitment to creating affirming opportunities for Black LGBTQ+ women.

My work is rooted in the belief that women deserve opportunities to connect, thrive, lead, and be celebrated at every stage of life. Through community gatherings, travel experiences, wellness initiatives, entrepreneurship opportunities, and signature events such as the Royal Holiday Masquerade Ball, I am building experiences that turn connection into lasting community.

I am also the author of Standing in the Gap: Womanist Leadership for the 21st Century Church, and my broader work centers on leadership, social justice, community building, and creating opportunities for people whose voices and experiences have too often been overlooked.

My goal is simple: create spaces where people know they belong—and where connection can become transformation.
