Sity Social was created to bring back the authenticity of connection through thoughtfully curated, intentional events that foster real friendships and meaningful community. We host mixers, fitness classes, retreats, and community focused gatherings, and we are currently building something truly special.

Marissa Mais’m Marissa Mais, the founder of Sity Social. I’ve spent over eight years as an event planner in New York City, working with top brands and celebrities and producing incredible experiences. From the outside, it looked exciting and full but on the inside, I often felt lonely.
Living in such a fast-paced city, I realized how easy it is to be surrounded by people yet still feel disconnected. I was attending events, meeting new faces, exchanging numbers… and then never speaking again. I craved a sense of real community—friends I could genuinely connect with, grow with, and feel supported by.
That longing is what led me to create Sity Social.
Sity Social isn’t about random mixers or surface-level interactions. It’s about intentionality. It’s about creating space for people to actually talk, spend time together, share experiences, and build relationships that last beyond a single night. We stay connected. We check in. We make room for one another.
I wanted to create the kind of community I was searching for a safe, welcoming space where people feel seen, valued, and truly included. Sity Social is deeply personal to me because it was built from a very real need. And today, watching genuine friendships form within this community is the most meaningful part of everything we’re building.
