TEDxLambeth: Antinomies! 2020,

About the event

TEDx events are carefully designed to encompass a broad spectrum of subjects, viewpoints and perspectives on wider themes and ideas. We encourage everyone to be open to opposite ideas (Antinomies!) which one would not naturally have chosen to engage with. 

So, with this second TEDxLambeth, we will give platform to unusual suspects, expose veiled expertise and share what is common to us all: humanity. A confluence of infectious and persistent ideas is what we support. We want to live in a society that observes, constructs and expresses through Antinomies.

TEDxLambeth is an inclusive space, welcoming people from all backgrounds, ages, genders, sexual orientations, races and ethnicities. We pride ourselves on reflecting diversity both in our audience and on stage.

To say a few words about this event, our speakers/performers in 2020 will participate around the theme of 'antinomies' or opposites, while individual topics will range from masculinity and emotion to soviet hippies to cognitive science by globally-renowned pundits such as Professor Sir David Omand, Cybil War and Olivia Sudjic.

As we are nonprofit, all finances will be used to cover expenses (namely, refreshments, promotions, website maintenance, t-shirts). There are three packages in total, each containing a range of different benefits.

Daniele Irandoost

Daniele Irandoost is the founder/curator of TEDxLambeth, published writer, editor, and fully-qualified teacher who is completing his second Masters degree at UCL. As a specialist in intelligence studies and military strategy Daniele has earned a number of academic awards, most particularly the Ken Robertson Prize in Intelligence Studies. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and has appeared on Turkish TV (ATV) and a number of British and American radio shows. His interests include playing the piano and cricket.
