About the event

The Football Legends Golf Series is the most exciting sporting hybrid series in the UK, in which the nations’ regional footballing powerhouses do battle on the golf course, rather than on the football field. Club legends, partners and supporters will play alongside one another, whilst representing the club they love against their fiercest cross region rivals.

After a hugely successful inaugural event series (2021/22) in which the UK’s biggest 44 football clubs were represented across 5 regional events by 70+ legends and 600+ guests, we can’t wait to kickstart the second edition of the series in 2023/24.

Throughout our inaugural series, we are proud to say we have raised in excess of £20,000 for our 6 wonderful charities, and look to top that in 2023/24!

CSR: By supporting our events, you directly support six fantastic charities across the UK, not only financially but by raising awareness of the invaluable work they do.

Hospitality: We host at the UK’s premier golfing venues, offering world class hospitality. You and your guests will have a seamless experience, on and off the course. No request is too much, and we tailor our events to suit your every need.

We will work closely with you pre, during and post event to ensure all of your aims and objectives are firmly met. Whilst we provide partnership frameworks, each package is completely tailor-made and bespoke to your exact needs.

Mike Watson

Mike has been a sport and music enthusiast since a young age and has been fortunate enough to combine the two hobbies into his daily working life.

Mike started off as a member of European group The United. The band toured the world playing arenas to the masses and secured a #1 hit in Japan. 

Mike left the band to go solo and has gone from strength to strength, securing a spot supporting Maroon 5 and Magic! on their European arena tour not long after. 

In 2020/21, Mike signed singles deals with Magic Records, Loudkult Records, Jupita Records and Morph Records. His releases have amassed over 10 million streams online and continue to grow. 

In 2018 Mike launched his own golfing events business Watson Metters Golf. In no time at all the company have gone on to organise numerous events for charities and companies alike, including the Chelsea FC Legends Golf Day 2019. 

In 2021 'The Legends Golf Series' was born!

'The Legends Golf Series' offers supporters and partners of the UK's most established professional sports clubs, the chance to represent the team they support, playing alongside their sporting heroes, against their fiercest rivals. 

After a hugely successful inaugural 'Football Legends Golf Series' in 2021/22, we are excited to announce the launch of 'The Cricket Legends Golf Series' in 2023 in a joint venture with The Barmy Army.

Furthermore, we have teamed up with MASHIE Golf to offer a bespoke set of events at the UK's premier golfing venues.

We are proud to work closely with local regional charities at each of our events, and have raised in excess of £20,000 to date throughout Series 1 of 'The Football Legends Golf Series'.
