UF Vision Seminar,

About the event

This seminar will focus on broad research in image analysis, computer vision, deep learning, and pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and robotics. We hope to provide the participants with the understanding of current research in these areas, as well as to promote gathering researchers and enthusiasts within UF. Scheduled presentation by participants and invited speakers are followed by question and answer period. The seminar is open to all students interested in image analysis research. Faculty and researchers interested in the image analysis are invited to attend. We will cover papers from recent and upcoming conferences related to computer vision (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, SIGGRAPH). 

Why should you sponsor?

We are gathering researchers within UF, especially the CS department. Currently, we have around 20 people, mainly Ph.D. students. They are with different research background such as machine learning/deep learning, computer vision, computer graphics, data mining, big data, parallel computation. We hope to build a good platform to connect researchers/students within UF with the industrial companies.

I am a First-Year PhD Student at Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering, University of Florida under the supervision of Prof. Anand Rangarajan and Prof. Sanjay Ranka.

Before coming to Gator Nation, I received B.E. degree from Department of Software Engineering, Sichuan University in June, 2015. I once worked as a Research Assistant at the Multimedia Lab, Department of Information Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong (MMLab, CUHK) and Multimedia Research Center, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (MMLab, SIAT) under the supervision of Dr. Weilin Huang and Prof. Chen Change Loy, supported by Prof. Yu Qiao and Prof. Xiaoou Tang.

As an enthusiastic researcher, my goal is to combine state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms with real-life industrial problems.
