Los Angeles, California, United States Los Angeles, California, United States

  • About the event

We are the Legal Advocacy & Education Commission. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to criminal justice reform. We help to provide safer communities, educate on America’s justice system & support victims of police misconduct.

As an organization focused on criminal justice reform & education, we are looking for sponsors for our upcoming event, “Wrongfully Convicted” with Isaac Wright Jr.

Isaac Wright Jr. has a powerful story of overcoming adversity and injustice, having been wrongly convicted of drug charges and sentenced to a life sentence in prison. He ultimately studied law and was able to overturn his own conviction. He has since become an advocate for criminal justice reform and uses his story and experiences to inspire others to challenge the justice system and seek change.

Our team created “Wrongfully Convicted” to bring together our supporters, potential new donors, and the community around our mission to provide safer communities, educate on our justice system and address police accountability. We are hosting this event on Zoom. Having sponsors will allow us to make this event free to the public.

    Why should you sponsor?

The Legal Advocacy and Education Commission (LAEC) is an essential organization that promotes legal education and advocacy in society. Our organization is dedicated to advancing the legal profession by providing education, research, and advocacy on important issues. The LAEC works tirelessly for the benefit of the society, and our mission aligns with various corporate social responsibilities.

One of the critical reasons why companies should sponsor the LAEC is to create more awareness of legal issues in the community. The commission provides education about critical legal issues and advocates for necessary legal reforms. Our approach of providing legal education and advocacy is essential because it informs the public about their legal rights, the importance of the legal system, and the mechanisms available to help them navigate through legal challenges. A society that is knowledgeable about their legal rights and processes is essential for upholding the rule of law and promoting social justice.

Additionally, supporting LAEC is an excellent demonstration of a company's commitment to social responsibility. Beyond their primary function of generating profits, businesses have a broader responsibility to create a positive impact in the communities they serve. Supporting organizations such as LAEC is one way in which companies can fulfill their social responsibility mandate. It demonstrates that they are taking concrete steps to improve the legal system and promote education and advocacy, essential ingredients in building healthy, thriving communities.

The work of LAEC is also crucial in addressing social inequality. The organization advocates for legal reforms that create an equitable legal system, thereby creating a fairer playing field for all citizens, regardless of their social class, race or gender. This work is essential for breaking down systemic and cultural barriers that prevent certain groups from accessing justice, and ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities to thrive. Companies that support LAEC's mission to promote social justice and equality are contributing to building a society where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed.

Furthermore, supporting LAEC means supporting a cause that potentially impacts the business directly. Businesses encounter legal challenges like regulatory compliance, employee disputes, and contractual disputes, among others. The LAEC provides education and advocacy related to such issues, creating a better understanding of the legal system and preventing avoidable legal issues. Notably, LAEC's work in the area of corporate social responsibility is of particular relevance to businesses. The organization provides information and expertise on legal matters addressing issues such as corporate governance, ethical leadership, environmental regulation, labor practices, and social responsibility. Therefore, companies can benefit from supporting the LAEC by gaining practical insights to manage their businesses better.

Finally, companies should sponsor LAEC as a way of promoting their brands. Companies that are associated with philanthropic or social responsibility initiatives are generally perceived as responsible and respected in society. This association can enhance business profitability by building reputation, customer loyalty, and investor confidence. In this era of conscious capitalism, companies that demonstrate social responsibility stand out from the competition, are more attractive to customers, and attract top talent.

In conclusion, supporting the LAEC is an essential investment in promoting legal education, advocacy, and social justice. All companies should consider supporting this important initiative as a way of fulfilling their corporate social responsibility obligations, promoting a fairer, healthier society, and gaining practical insights to manage their businesses better. Ultimately, these efforts create long-term benefits for the company and the society at large.
