Event Description – 1st Annual Grant Open
The Grant Open is a four-day USCF & FIDE-rated chess tournament taking place June 18–21, 2026 near the Hilton in Irvine, California. We expect 300–400 players and their families from across the state.
The tournament emphasizes strategic thinking, analytical skill, and competitive growth, providing players — especially youth — with the opportunity to compete with grandmasters, improve their ratings, and earn official titles.
The Grant Open is designed to foster educational development, community engagement, and personal growth through chess. Sponsors have a unique opportunity to connect with a highly engaged, intellectual audience while supporting the growth of competitive chess in California.
Supporting the Grant Open gives your organization a unique opportunity to connect with a highly engaged, strategic, and family-oriented audience. Sponsors gain visibility throughout the event, including banners, announcements, and email recognition, while demonstrating a commitment to youth development, educational growth, and competitive excellence.
By partnering with us, your brand will be associated with a prestigious, USCF & FIDE-rated chess tournament, supporting players as they compete with grandmasters, improve their ratings, and achieve official titles — all while promoting analytical thinking, problem-solving, and community engagement.
This is an impactful way to show your support for local talent and education while reaching an audience that values strategy, discipline, and achievement.
