About the event
PURPLE REIGN is an inclusive art showcase exploring LGBTQ Pride through art and the color purple. Our mission is to bring much needed attenction to new and emerging LGBTQ artists. During this time of unprecidented anti-LGBTQ action sweeping the us, it's never been more important to highlight the contributions created by our queer community.
The LGBTQ art community has always been at the forefront of equality action, and it is more important now than ever in recent years that their contributions be seen and their voices be heard.
Why should you sponsor?
We are proud to partner with prominent LGBTQ+ charities to effect change during this time of uncertainty in the fight for equal rights. We've come so far in the last 30 years towards equality, and we can't afford to get complacent now. We are excited to showcase up and coming LGBTQ+ artists of all stripes and their allies. It can be difficult to break into artistic ventures, especially in a city as saturated with talented artists as Los Angeles. As such, we are happy to provide this opportunity to artists who may otherwise face many roadblocks to showcasing their work. Your support will mean the world to them and help us bring their visions to life.
Beckett ArnoldBeckett Arnold is a designer and entertainment professional with over a decade of experience in different facets of the entertainment industry, and a web designer of 10 years. Her creative empowerment coaching services creatives & artistic entrepreneurs of all stripes who want to build a career of freedom through expressing their creative gifts, and unburdened by the shackles of the “day job.”
In a post-pandemic world, arts, culture, and connection have never been more in-demand. We seek to provide a space for artistic & creative folks to collaborate, network, and grow their artistic careers, while producing arts & entertainment for an audience that's never been more engaged than right now.
The idea for Dragonfly Creative Collective came from recognizing a hole needing to be filled for a supportive community, and the more we spoke with those in creative circles, the more we realized how necessary such a community is. The arts & entertainment business can be exclusive and intimidating. People move to Hollywood with dreams of making it big, but they often face roadblock after roadblock, and without community support, they become discouraged and many ultimately give up. No one should have to go it alone, and just because some have to struggle to "make it" doesn't mean that needs to be the prevailing path.
