About the event

Runway Rulers is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ ballroom community in DC and a runway competition for DC based models and designers. DMV Kiki Nights in partnership with Damien Ministries is proud to offer a safe space for community members to network and showcase their talent. The event will consist of a networking mixer, community roll call and evening length runway competition.

Why should you sponsor?

We are seeking sponsors who are looking to build engagement with the LGBTQ community and with neighbors in DC wards 7 and 8. Our event will be exceptionally diverse and will give sponsors the opportunity to build profile in the congress heights neighborhood where the Sycamore & Oak venue is located. In addition, our event will be exciting for sponsors because it is a spirited competition with the most talented runway artists that the DMV region has to offer.

Danyela Brown

My name is Danyela J. Brown and I am a DC-based curator currently serving as Artistic Director at DMV Kiki Nights. I have been hosting events for the past 5 years and I am committed to diversity, care and communication. I believe in the power of community leadership and work to cultivate strong relationships with our stakeholders to sustain grass roots arts programming.
