Scrapyard is a global hackathon organized by high schoolers.
Our flagship (the largest Scrapyard event) will run in Los
Angeles on February 15th-16th. Following the flagship, our
distributed events will run in 100+ cities worldwide on the
weekend of March 15th. Scrapyard is a hackathon with a
"scrappy" theme of stupid inventions!
It's organized by Hack Club, a 501(c) (3) non-profit
that supports a global community of over 48,000 high school makers.
Our mission is to inspire the next generation of developers. In-person hackathons allow teenagers to experience the joy in coding. Many people learn to code at hackathons, which provide a low-stakes environment to allow for inspiration from peers and creating cool projects. By supporting us, you help us further our mission. We can’t run this event without you, and we appreciate any support.
I believe that coding is the closest we’ve gotten to a superpower- it changed the trajectory of my life, and I want to bring that experience to more students! I'd love to recieve sponsorship to our event to empower more students, This competition is by students for students.
Your contributions will be tax-deductible, as we qualify as a 501©(3) being fiscally sponsored by The Hack Foundation (EIN: 81-2908499).
I'm a passionate penetration tester / Ethical Hacker with a knack for destruction red team hacking, specializing in network attacks and analysis and hacking tool creation. I thrive on testing and learning new hacking tools and exploiting vulnerabilities then fixing them. Additionally, I have a strong foundation in robotics and possess the requisite mathematical prowess I am a nerd.
Currently, I'm delving into the realms of metasploit, where I'm actively engaged in tool creation. During my leisure time, you'll find me honing my problem-solving skills on python and participating in robotics challenges.
