About the event
The StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival was established in 2016. It was the first National Street Food Festival in the UK and attracted 40 of the best and most unique Street Food Traders in the UK. Alongside the fantastic street food traders we created a fluid festival of quirky entertainment, interactive performers and offered our visitors vintage deckchairs to relax in whilst listening to chilled, background music. There was no timetable or schedule, surprises happened and visitors, old and young were entranced…But more importantly they stayed, they ate, they drank…
When launching the festival in 2016 we did expect a footfall of around 70,000 visitors; we were delighted with our attendance of 111,000 over the four days. Word had spread and the festival got busier and busier as the weekend progressed. Traders were selling out of food, bars were selling out of drinks and the Social Media presence exploded….Overnight The StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival quickly became recognised as one of the best street food trading festivals in the UK. We were delighted to have been nominated for the Best Non Music Festival in the UK at the 2017 National Festival Awards.
2017, whilst using the same format, although with some logistical changes, the festival attracted an astonishing 149,223 visitors. The lovely people of Harrogate had invited their friends and families from far and wide and the town’s accommodation was almost entirely booked…. We have 27 performers that we need to accommodate each year and couldn’t find space for them…!
Due to the sheer amount of visitors the festival attracts, it is no longer financially viable to continue hosting The StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival in Valley Gardens. But we are delighted to announce that we have secured a new home, the Great Yorkshire Showround still based in Harrogate. The Showground is designed to cope with large visitors numbers and is synonymous with hosting prestigious national events of all kinds…our May 2018 Festival attracted a good percentage of the huge numbers although we would love Tom use sponsorship to attract even more visitors and get those figures back up to over 100,000!
Why should you sponsor?
We are looking for a select and small number of sponsors/partners that would like to market their brands within a high end market place and to secure long term working relationships which will help to build The StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival brand. Every brand is different, every business has their own marketing ideas and we want to remain as fluent and as flexible for all sponsors/partners.
We have lots of space at the Great Yorkshire Showground and can offer you plenty ofoptions. We know we can put logos on website, flyers, apps, posters and banners, we know our marketing will drive a fabulous family audience to the festival and may even introduce them to your brand BUT our festival is interactive… We want to work with you to create an amazing, interactive area to surprise and delight our visitors, an area that really shouts about your brand and your message. Your creative team won’t have any limitations placed on them by us….

We never expected the The StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival to be as busy as it was but know that Harrogate is a hungry audience. It's an ABC audeince with high disposable income and the demand for quality enteritnemant and food is high. We're looking for sponsors or partners who want to promote their brand in a quality market place and work with us to continue to deliver an amazing festival.
